Irvin told West Kentucky Star that there are "many neighborhoods within the city limits that can benefit from these redevelopment efforts. We think it's important that the selection process criteria not only includes an assessment of the neighborhoods current condition, but also includes a comprehensive evaluation of the neighborhood's potential to be sustainable and have a positive impact on Paducah at large."
Irvin says he doesn't know exactly when the city commission will be choosing the next neighborhood for revitalization, but one of the nearly 50 neighborhoods in the city stands to follow in the footsteps of the Lowertown and Fountain Avenue neighborhoods, soon.
