PADUCAH, KY - A Metropolis man was arrested Tuesday, after police say they found him with stolen items from recent Massac County vehicle break-ins.

Massac County Deputies began getting reports of thefts near the Metropolis Country Club and the Lakeview Drive area. One victim reported the theft of car stereo equipment and a wallet. While investigators were reviewing the Wal-Mart surveillance video footage of the suspect using the stolen card, another victim reported that jackets, sunglasses and an Ipad were stolen from his vehicle.

Using a tracking app that the owner had installed on the Ipad, Massac Investigators and Paducah Police were led to the area of 28th and Jackson Street in Paducah, where they reportedly found the Ipad and other items stolen in the break-ins.

Paducah Police arrested 22-year-old Tyler Mckendree, of Metropolis Tuesday for receiving stolen property and on a failure to appear warrant. He was booked into the McCracken County Jail.

According to police, more vehicle's may have been burglarized in the area. They are asking any other residents who discover their vehicles have been burglarized to contact the Massac County Sheriff's Department at (618)-524-2912.
