Paducah Teen Killed in Oaks Road Crash

A single-vehicle crash Sunday morning claimed the life of a Paducah teen.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies responded at around 7:30 a.m. to a single-vehicle crash near the 1900 block of Oaks Road.

Deputies said their investigation showed that 18-year-old Sarah Armstrong was traveling north on Oaks Road when her vehicle crossed the center line, left the roadway and hit a concrete culvert and a tree. Her vehicle came to rest just off the roadway in the ditch.

Armstrong was fatally injured in the crash.

Oaks Road was closed between Lydon Road and Butler Lane for about an hour and a half after the crash.
