A Paducah teen reported missing last week has been returned to his father.

Police said 14-year-old Jordan L. Harmon was reported last seen on the front porch of his mother's North 21st Street home at around 10:30 am Tuesday.

Johnny Harmon, who has custody of Jordan, told police on August 12 that Jordan became upset because he did not want to move to Tennessee. Police said Jordan’s mother, Valaria George told them she last saw Jordan on the front porch of her home on the morning of August 12. She said she left to visit friends, and when she returned home the boy was gone. Johnny Harmon told police the following day that George told him Jordan was not missing, and that he would reappear at the next custody hearing. Officers later questioned George, who they say denied knowledge of her son’s whereabouts.

Police arrested George August 13 and charged her with custodial interference. She was booked into McCracken County Regional Jail and released on $250 bond later that evening.

Police said on Tuesday Jordan called his guidance counselor at Paducah Middle School, who brought him to the police department. Jordan was returned unharmed to his father later that evening.
