A Paducah woman was injured Friday morning in a crash on Krebs Station Road.

Just after 11:00 am deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of Krebs Station Road to a crash involving a dump truck and a passenger car.

Police said their investigation revealed 54-year-old Alice Penrod, of Paducah was driving on Krebs Station Road and in the process of turning into a driveway when she was hit in the rear by a dump truck driven by 52-year-old Charles Finwell, also of Paducah.
Finwell told police that as he crested a blind hill, he saw Penrod slowing to turn into a driveway. Finwell said he realized he wasn’t going to be able to stop in time, so he drove into a ditch in an attempt to avoid a collision. The back tires of the dump truck drove up and onto Penrod's trunk.

Penrod was taken to an area hospital for treatment of possible injuries. Krebs Station Road was closed for about two hours for cleanup and investigation.
