It appeared to be a morning just like any other at Mellony Hale's Forest Hills home, when she looked outside and noticed that her vehicle was missing. But it's not the car she's so concerned about, Hale said what she really misses are the family keepsakes that were in her vehicle when it was taken.

Hale said when she woke up and looked outside, she had a hard time believing her car was gone at first. "When I got up at 6:30, I went outside and my car was gone. I walked around the house and looked, and it was still gone." Hale said. She said she isn't sure exactly when her car was stolen, but it was probably sometime between 12:30 and 6:30 am Thursday.

Hale said not having a car to drive to work will be a pretty big inconvenience, but what she really hopes to get back are her personal items, like a Bible and a quilt her stepmother hand made for her. She also said she will miss several special keepsakes given to her over the years by her nieces and nephews. "I'm gonna be hurting for a vehicle, but it's the quilt, the bible and the little trinkets my babies have given me that I'll really miss." Hale said.

The vehicle is a white 2006 Ford Taurus, with slight damage to the front driver side door. Hale said there is a license plate on the front of the car that says "rock and roll". Paducah Police are asking anyone who has seen a vehicle matching this description, or who has information about the theft to contact them.
