Two Paducah women were charged Wednesday with credit card fraud.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a resident reported on Oct. 25 two fraudulent $55 charges on her account to inmatesales.com, a service that is provided to jails across the country for inmates to make phone calls and purchase items while incarcerated.
With the assistance of the McCracken County Jail, detectives learned that the two fraudulent charges were placed on the account of inmate 27-year-old Ricosha Young.
Deputies said their investigation showed Young had recorded the victim's bank card information when the victim went to a local restaurant where Young worked prior to being arrested. Young then reportedly gave the card information to 28-year-old Cynthia White of Paducah, who created a fake account online and made the two fraudulent charges.
White and Young were both charged with fraudulent use of a credit card under $500.
