Pecan Drive Rezoning Meeting Today

Paducah Mayor Brandi Harless will host a public neighborhood meeting for residents who live in the Pecan Drive neighborhood.

The meeting will be today from 5 until 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall at Heartland Worship Center, 4777 Alben Barkley Drive.

At the meeting, residents will be able to provide input regarding the proposed rezoning of the 18.246 acre property located at 4231 Pecan Dr. from R-1 (Low Density Residential Zone) to R-4 (High Density Residential Zone).

CDB Service Finance, LLC has requested the zone change for the property in order to construct a skilled nursing facility. 

The Paducah City Commission delayed a vote on the rezoning measure that was originally set to take place at their meeting on Tuesday, after some residents voiced concerns about potential flooding issues related to the new facility being built.
