Police Investigation Leads to Drug Arrest

PADUCAH, KY - A Paducah woman faces drug charges after a police investigation that began on July 5.
Paducah Sheriff's deputies arrested James Darren Hicks for Trafficking Cocaine on July 5. The information police gained in the investigation led them to Caryl Sledd of Paducah.
Detectives learned that Sledd was working with Hicks to purchase and help sell cocaine.
During a search of Sledd's home and vehicle, detectives located a quantity of methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia, including digital scales.
Detectives also learned that Sledd had previously purchased Sudafed in McCracken County on at least two separate occasions and given the Sudafed to methamphetamine cooks in return for meth.
Sledd was arrested Thursday at her home. She is charged with Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine over 4 grams, Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Distribution of a Meth Precursor, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
She was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
