For the second time in two weeks, Paducah police are searching for a hit-and-run driver that hit a bicyclist and fled the scene.

Paducah Police report that at around 6:50 pm Tuesday, 37-year-old Leslie M. Windhorst, of County Park Rd was riding a bicycle on Broadway and crossing 13th Street when he was hit by a white or off-white SUV.

Windhorst said he was dragged by the vehicle, and when he crawled from beneath it, he asked the driver for help. Windhorst said the driver replied “no” and drove away. Windhorst was taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a black female, 55-60 years of age with short hair and glasses. Anyone with information about Tuesday’s hit-and-run is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL. Tipsters may also text their tips to “CRIMES” (274637) by entering “KyTips” followed by their information, or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website at westkycrimestoppers.info.

Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
