Police: Men Sold Stolen Camper to Raise Bail Money
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - Two men were arrested Tuesday in McCracken County on theft charges, after police say they sold a trailer that did not belong to them to raise bail money for their jailed friends.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said deputies began investigating a vehicle and camper theft on Jan. 31. Deputies said the victims had been living in the camper that was sitting on 70-year-old Warren Doug Johnston's property in the 6900 block of Old US Highway 45.

This was reportedly the same home where deputies arrested six people on drug charges on Jan. 24.

Deputies said Johnston and 30-year-old Joshua Coburn sold the camper and truck as scrap to a Graves County resident under the pretense that the camper was abandoned.

Johnson and Coburn were both charged with theft by deception under $10,000.
