Police Remind Residents to Remove Items from Cars

PADUCAH, KY - Following an increase in vehicle thefts over the holiday weekend, Paducah Police are reminding residents to remove valuables from their unattended vehicles.
Detective Captain Brian Krueger says windows were broken out of several vehicles, but in at least one instance, the vehicle was left unlocked.
Krueger reminds residents to try to park in lighted areas, and remove all valuables from their vehicles, or at least hide them. He said most of the thefts over the long weekend occurred during evening hours.
