Pot, Meth Charges For Paducah Man

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A Paducah man is facing drug and other charges following a traffic stop in McCracken County.

On Monday, McCracken County deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle after noticing an alleged traffic violation.

Deputies say the driver, identified as 35-year-old Billy Wells of Paducah, appeared to be under the influence of an illicit substance. A search of his vehicle reportedly revealed marijuana and methamphetamine.

Wells was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.

He is being charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, failure to produce an insurance card, and only having one headlight.
