Public Meeting Today about Downtown Parking
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - The City of Paducah is providing an opportunity today for the public to provide feedback on downtown parking.

The open house meeting will allow citizens to stop by the atrium of City Hall any time between 2 and 6 pm. Attendees can learn more about the current parking study that is underway, provide their input on their experiences with parking downtown, and give feedback on ways to improve access and mobility throughout downtown.

Paducah Main Street Director Katie Axt says the city has received numerous comments over the past few weeks and this is another opportunity for community input.

“These one-on-one conversations help the City provide better service and public amenities to our residents and visitors today and in the future,” Axt said.

In December, the city contracted with Concepts21 to conduct a parking assessment on the 12-block TIF district in downtown Paducah, with a focus area around the current parking lot at 2nd and Broadway. The report on that study should be finished this month.
