PADUCAH, KY - Nationally touring contemporary Christian band Hearts of Saints will headline Reidland United Methodist Church's third annual block party, September 22nd.
The western Kentucky based band will take the stage at 6pm, following an afternoon of family-oriented games and entertainment on the church grounds at 5515 Reidland Road.
In the midst of touring the Midwestern and southern United States, Hearts of Saints will perform at RUMC just a month before the release of their new album, "For All of Us". The two disc album contains twelve songs, half of which are pop/rock songs and half that are modern rock songs designed to encourage people to worship. The album hits stores October 23rd.
"Hearts of Saints has a large following, and we feel very privileged for them to headline our event. It's been two years since they performed in Paducah, so many of their local fans will be thrilled with the opportunity to see them this close to home," said event chair Melanie Burkeen.
The block party, hosted annually by RUMC, is open to the public and includes activities for all ages. All activities, including the food and drink, are free. The event starts at 4pm with inflatables, a petting zoo, a Touch A Truck event, live music and Bingo. The block party will take place rain or shine. Concert goers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, as seating is not provided.
