Ribbon Cutting Held for New Bob Leeper Bridge
By West Kentucky Star & City of Paducah Staff
PADUCAH - The Bob Leeper Pedestrian Bridge on Paducah's Greenway Trail was officially dedicated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday morning.

Paducah City Manager Jim Arndt said that the bridge is a legacy project that will be enjoyed for decades.

A few years ago, former Judge-Executive Bob Leeper brought the idea to Mayor Brandi Harless to build the bridge to link the city’s Greenway Trail and the county’s trail system.  It’s a literal bridge between the city and county that shows the strong connection between Paducah and McCracken County.

Partners in the funding of the 110-foot long bridge over Perkins Creek are a Federal Highway Administration Recreation Trails Grant, Boyles Estate Community Foundation, Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, McCracken County, City of Paducah, Geosyntec Consultants and Veolia Nuclear Solutions Federal Services.
