River Discovery Center Hosts Book Signings Sunday

PADUCAH, KY - This Sunday, June 15th, Paducah's River Discovery Center, 117 South Water Street, will host two book signings. Professor John E.L. Robertson's newest book "Paducah, Kentucky, A History" and J.D. Wilkes new book, "Barn Dances & Jamborees Across Kentucky", will be for sale and personally autographed by the local authors from 2-4 pm.

Robertson is professor emeritus of the University of Kentucky Community College system and was recognized as historian of the year by the Kentucky Historical Society in 2008.

Wilkes is an award-winning filmmaker, cartoonist and musician. He has toured the world, playing harmonica and banjo in his bands the Dirt Daubers and the Legendary Shack Shakers. He has also recorded harmonica for Merle Haggad, Hank Williams III, John Carter Cash and the Grammy-nominated soundtrack for HBO's True Blood.
