The American Queen docked at the Port of Paducah all day on Friday. It's passengers were all around downtown seeing the sites, shopping and visiting the museums and attractions and getting an up close view of the riverfront development.

Paducah Ambassadors greeted the quests at downtown street corners, answering questions and giving tours of the city. Some of the "Red Coats" have received certification to be official tour guides on the motor coaches. Visitors returned to the paddle wheeler knowing a lot more about this river town.

Bonnie Browning was invited on board to spend time with some quilters that were passengers. Browning is the director of not only the Paducah AQS Quilt Shows and Contests but all eight of the quilt shows that take place this year. While on board she took some photos of the development going on along Paducah's riverfront. It is an interesting view of the project as it takes shape.
