Paducah Tilghman High School senior Jackson Rudolph has been named a Commended Student in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship program.

 

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2016 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition by taking the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).  

Jackson is a martial arts professional who travels the world competing and giving seminars. He is ranked number one in the world in his age group in the Weapons Division of Sport Karate. His weapon of choice is the Bo Staff.  

Jackson plans to attend a four year university and pursue a premedical course of study. His parents are Eric and Cathy Rudolph.
