Search of McCracken Home Nets Three Meth Arrests

PADUCAH - Three McCracken County residents were arrested Sunday night on drug offenses after deputies searched a Farley area home.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says detectives received complaints about alleged illegal drug activity at a home in the 2200 block of Sunset Drive. An investigation led to detectives obtaining and executing a search warrant at the home.

During the search detectives located 48-year-old Jerry Burkeen, 45-year-old Heather Stewart and 50-year-old Eddie Prater inside. Stewart was found in a bathroom where a glass meth pipe was found in the toilet.

Detectives said they also found methamphetamine packaged for sale, digital scales, smoking pipes and other items of drug paraphernalia.

Burkeen was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stewart was charged with tampering with physical evidence, trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Prater is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
