The Paducah Parks & Recreation Department is inviting the public to attend a meeting TONIGHT 5 - 7 pm to view the future plans for the Paducah Dog Park.

The meeting is in the Robert Cherry Civic Center at 2701 Park Avenue. Citizens will be able to view renderings of the planned improvements and provide feedback.

The upgrades to the Paducah Dog Park will be funded in part by a $10,000 Bark for Your Park grant through PetSafe®. The City received notification last August that it is one of 25 cities receiving the grant from 215 applications. The money will be used to implement irrigation and improve drainage and erosion issues at the dog park.

The park opened in August 2012 on a seven-acre tract of land at Stuart Nelson Park. The park has water, fencing, shelters, parking areas, and pet waste receptacles. It is partitioned into two sections for dogs weighing above or below 30 pounds.
