The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a signal outage at the intersection of US 60/Hinkleville Road and KY 998/Olivet Church Road in Paducah on Thursday, March 22nd.

The KYTC District 1 Traffic Group will be moving service to new signal heads at this intersection starting at 9:00am on Thursday. During this work the signal will be out of service for 3 to 4 hours. During this outage, the intersection of US 60/Hinkleville Road and KY 998/Olivet Church Road, will function as a 4-Way Stop. Signs indicating the temporary 4-Way Stop will be placed at the intersection.

Motorists should be alert and use caution in and around the intersection. Some minor delays are possible during the movement and positioning of equipment to complete the work.

This signal upgrade will add a flashing yellow arrow for permitted left turns after yielding to oncoming traffic. This addition of the permitted left turn option is expected to improve traffic flow through the intersection.

This intersection is at US 60 and KY 998/Olivet Church Road, just west of the Kentucky Oaks Mall area in Paducah. Almost 26,500 vehicles travel through this intersection in an average day.
