Some Paducah Schools Going All Virtual Wednesdays
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - Paducah Public Schools has announced that several Wednesdays in October, November and December will be virtual days for all middle and high school students.

Superintendent Donald Shively sent a letter to notify parents and guardians of the change, saying more resources need to be devoted to virtual students, "to achieve equitable progress for both our virtual and in-person students."

He said the following Wednesdays will be all-virtual for Paducah Middle School and Paducah Tilghman High School students:

Wednesday, October 21

Wednesday, October 28

Wednesday, November 11

Wednesday, November 18

Wednesday, December 2

Wednesday, December 9

No students will be at PMS or PTHS on these days. Students at Clark, McNabb, Morgan, Choices and Head Start will continue their current schedule.

Any household that doesn't have access to a computer can work with the school to get what is needed.

Shively also announced that teachers will soon be available at churches or other community gathering places to provide tutoring for virtual students through the week. They should release a schedule by the end of this week.
