State Police Asking for Holiday Food Donations
By AP
FRANKFORT, KY - Kentucky State Police say donations to their annual "Cram the Cruiser" food drive are slightly down this year but they are expecting an increase during the holidays.

The food drive started in November at two Frankfort locations and the agency will be accepting donations through Dec. 14.

KSP Sgt. Rick Saint-Blancard says the collections will go to local area food pantries.

The two donation centers in Frankfort are KSP Headquarters at 919 Versailles Road and Post 12 on Louisville Road. Suggested donations include canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, macaroni and cheese and other non-perishables.

Last year state police collected 50,931 pounds of food.
