Steve Kyle New KY Firefighter’s Assoc. President

PADUCAH, KY - This week Paducah Fire Chief Steve Kyle was installed as President of the Kentucky Firefighter’s Association (KFA) during the annual conference held this year in Elizabethtown.

Chief Kyle says, “It’s an honor and privilege to be selected. I look forward to continuing the programs we have in place and furthering the interests of firefighters through education, legislation, and scholarships.  I also look forward to advancing the fire service over this next year.”

Paducah will be the host city in August 2015 for the annual KFA conference.  Approximately 500 firefighters and administrators will be in Paducah for the conference.

In 2012, Chief Kyle received the received the Career Fire Chief of the Year award through the Kentucky Association of Fire Chiefs.

Steve Kyle was hired as battalion chief/fire marshal for the City of Paducah in 1998.  With the retirement of Chief Redell Benton in 2008, Kyle was appointed to acting chief.  In January 2009, the City Commission officially promoted Kyle to fire chief.
