Stolen Truck Leads to Charges for Livingston Woman

A report of a stolen truck Sunday resulted in multiple charges against a Smithland woman.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department,  a report of a stolen 1987 Chevrolet truck was taken during an altercation at 4131 Clarks River Road. Just after 11 pm, deputies observed the vehicle traveling on Clarks River Road.

A traffic stop was conducted with 33-year-old Jessica Barnes, of Smithland, found to be operating the truck. A search of the truck revealed a glass smoking pipe and some methamphetamine. 

Barnes was arrested and taken to McCracken County Regional Jail. She's charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, driving on a DUI suspended license, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
