Structure Fire Destroys Vacant Downtown Building

All five of Paducah’s fire stations responded Wednesday morning to a structure fire at 511 Adams Street.

The call came in at 11:10 am. When fire crews arrived, the second floor of the vacant, two-story apartment building was engulfed in flames.
 
According to the Paducah Fire Department, the building was destroyed and adjacent structures were not affected by the fire. No one was reported injured.
 
Authorities say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
