Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads to Meth Arrest

A report of a suspicious vehicle led to a man's arrest on methamphetamine and other charges.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched around 3:30 am Monday to the 3400 block of Pool Road for a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies found 58-year-old Michael Gardner standing outside the vehicle.

Deputies said Gardner appeared to be impaired by an unknown substance. While speaking with Gardner, he reportedly began to flee from deputies on foot. Gardner was apprehended a short distance later after a brief struggle with deputies. According to deputies, Gardner was also found in possession of methamphetamine. 

Gardner was placed under arrest for public intoxication, fleeing and evading police (on foot), resisting arrest, and possession of methamphetamine. Gardner was lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
