Symsonia Residents Arrested on Theft Charges

Two Symsonia residents have been arrested in connection with the theft of cash from their employer in Paducah.

Sunal Patel, owner of the Super 8 Motel on James Sanders Boulevard, told Paducah Police that she had installed surveillance cameras due to cash missing from the business.

Detectives opened an investigation and determined that 28-year-old Ashley N. Whittington, and 29-year-old Shawn T. Nance had allegedly been stealing from the motel for about six weeks. The total of the theft was more than $11,500.00.

Both were arrested on charges of felony theft by unlawful taking, over $10,000.00.
