A 17-year-old has been charged in connection with a Paducah burglary.

According to Paducah Police, an employee at the Star Mart at 2008 Bridge Street called police Monday morning, when she arrived at work and found the glass front door had been broken.

Police reported a concrete block had been thrown through the door of the business. A surveillance video reportedly showed a young male enter through the broken door glass, jump the counter and take four packs of cigarettes. Officers said they used the video to identify a suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile.

The youth was charged and released to his mother.
