The 48-Hour Film Project Begins in Paducah

PADUCAH, KY - It's time for amateur filmmakers to harness their skills and get ready once again for The 48-Hour Film Project in Paducah.
The whirlwind event is an exciting and challenging time for filmmakers, as the kickoff begins at 6 pm Friday at Maiden Alley Cinema, and ends there Sunday night.
The event is billed as "a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie-write, shoot, edit, and score it in just 48 hours.
It's a worldwide spectacle, in which approximately 50,000 filmmakers in 120 cities and six continents compete for prizes that include $5,000.
The project began in 2001.
