Three Arrested On Drug Charges Thursday

PADUCAH, KY - The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Drug Division arrested an area man on charges of Trafficking Cocaine and two two more for Trafficking Methamphetamine on Thursday according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.
Detectives received information that an area man was looking to buy cocaine to sell to other people. Detectives obtained a phone number for the man they identified as 45-year-old Darren Hicks of Paducah.
On Thursday morning, an undercover detective contacted Hicks and agreed to sell him a half ounce of cocaine. The detective met Hicks in a parking on Lone Oak Road and sold him the powder cocaine.
Hicks was then later taken into custody without incident.
Hicks was charged with trafficking controlled substance cocaine over 4 grams.
Later Thursday afternoon, detectives noticed two suspects from an earlier crystal meth investigation, 29-year-old Justen Mann and 32-year-old Elizabeth Culp in the Farley area. Mann and Culp had been involved in an investigation in June in which a person cooperating with law enforcement had purchased meth from the couple several times.
A deputy stopped the vehicle as they pulled into a business on Benton Road.
Mann and Culp were both taken into custody at that time.
A search of the vehicle revealed several doses of Lortab, Klonipin, and Xanax.
Mann is currently on Parole and was released from prison on April 20, 2012. Culp was also arrested on an outstanding Bench Warrant.
Mann was charged with trafficking controlled substance methamphetamine over 2 grams and trafficking controlled substance methamphetamine under 2 grams.
Culp was charged with complicity to trafficking controlled substance methamphetamine over 2 grams and two counts complicity to trafficking controlled substance methamphetamine under 2 grams.
