Employees reported that on February 27th they rented a golf cart to three young men. The rental agreement was signed by 20-year-old Daniel Mesler of Paducah. At the close of business, the cart, valued at $3,000.00, was missing and police were called. Paducah Police detectives went to a home just outside Paducah, where the cart was located.
Mesler was arrested on Friday, April 20th, and charged with felony theft by unlawful taking. On Monday, 18-year-old Brandon Qualls of West Paducah was arrested on the same charge. A 17-year-old juvenile, at whose home the cart was located, was also taken into custody, on a charge of receiving stolen property.
Mesler and Qualls were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail. The juvenile was released to his parents.
