Three Vehicle Accident Sents Two to Area Hospital

PADUCAH, KY - Two people were taken to the hospital Friday evening after an accident in Lone Oak.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department received a call for an injury accident in the 3200 block of Lone Oak Road Friday about 4:50 pm. Upon arrival, deputies found that 53-year-old Rose Kizer, of Paducah, was southbound on Lone Oak Road, when for undetermined reasons, her vehicle veered to the left, crossed in to oncoming traffic, and struck a car driven by 52-year-old Dona Matheny of Mayfield, which was traveling northbound. The Collision caused Matheny's vehicle to spin 180 degrees in the road and then strike a pickup driven by 44-year-old Stevan Croft of Paducah, who had been behind her.
Kizer and a passenger in her vehicle, 9-year-old Alayjah Marshall of Paducah, were treated on scene and transported to Lourdes Hospital for non-life threatening injuries by Mercy Regional EMS. The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS and The Lone Oak Fire Department.
