Traffic Stop Ends with Two Arrests

PADUCAH, KY - Two Paducah men were arrested after a routine traffic stop Thursday evening on Cairo Road.
Paducah Police Corey Willenborg reported stopping a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Julian L. Jakes after noticing the vehicle's license plate was not illuminated. Jakes reportedly had no valid operator's license.
In addition, a passenger in the vehicle, 35-year-old Kenyata Beasley, was found to be in possession of several ounces of marijuana, and a search of the vehicle revealed additional marijuana. The total weight of the seized drug was 4 1/2 ounces in eight individual bags.
Both men were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
