An early morning traffic stop in McCracken County led to two arrests.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, when stopped for a traffic violation Friday morning, 31-year-old Michael B. Cash of Benton and 23-year-old Dustin Baldwin of Paducah were reportedly nervous and could not provide identification.

A consent to search the vehicle revealed several baggies of a crystal like substance that appeared to be methamphetamine in the front passenger side. Police said Cash admitted that all of the items located were his.

According to deputies, two of the four baggies field tested positive for methamphetamine. The other two baggies were found to be simulated meth.

Cash was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and sell/transfer of a simulated controlled substance. Baldwin was charged with two outstanding felony arrest warrants.

Both men were arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
