Two men were taken into custody Thursday after a traffic stop in McCracken County.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says detectives stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Elmdale Road near Old Mayfield Road.

Detectives said they found a set of digital scales in the shorts pocket of the passenger, 27-year-old Randy Lowery of Paducah. Lowery reportedly told detectives he used the digital scales to weigh marijuana. Detectives also learned that the driver, 25-year-old Devin Bell, was driving on an expired license.

Detectives said they found a backpack with methamphetamine, more sets of digital scales, a methamphetamine smoking pipe, marijuana, and more drug paraphernalia on the back floorboard of the vehicle, along with more drug paraphernalia under the backpack.

Both Bell and Lowery were arrested and booked into the McCracken County Jail on drug and other charges.
