A Sunday undercover police drug buy resulted in the arrest of two people on meth charges.

According to police, on Sunday McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies called 33-year-old Don Brelsford of Paducah to set up a meth buy. Detectives said they later met Brelsford and 24-year-old Victoria Turner of Ledbetter at a business on Cairo Road.

As detectives arrived, Turner reportedly fled on foot behind the business and threw down a backpack.

Detectives said the backpack contained four baggies of methamphetamine, syringes, digital scales, a meth smoking pipe and other items of drug paraphernalia.

Brelsford and Turner were arrested on drug and other charges and taken to the McCracken County Jail. Police said both suspects were on felony probation from prior drug convictions at the time of their arrest.
