Two people were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop early Tuesday morning in McCracken County.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies pulled over a vehicle shortly after midnight on Westside Drive for traffic violations. After getting consent to search the vehicle, deputies reportedly found meth and drug paraphernalia that belonged to one of the passengers, 25-year-old Shelby Rogers of Paducah. Deputies said Rogers tried to throw away the drugs during the stop. They also found meth in the purse of 30-year-old Amber Lane.

Both Rogers' and Lane were arrested and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail. Rogers is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence and failure to notify D.O.T. of an address change. Lane is charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
