Two Paducah Residents Face Drug Charges

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A Monday morning traffic stop in McCracken County resulted in drug charges for two Paducah residents.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of John Puryear Drive and Husband Road. One of the passengers, 53-year-old Trina Dawes of Paducah, was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine. Dawes was placed under arrest and charged with possession of methamphetamine, second offense.

The driver, 54-year-old Donnie Churchwell of Paducah, was cited for no registration plate, no registration receipt, possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified), prescription controlled substance not in the proper container, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
