A two-vehicle wreck in McCracken County Tuesday night sent two people to the hospital.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 5:30pm in the 4400 block of Clarks River Road. Deputies said 52-year-old Brian Mannon of Ledbetter was in the left-hand lane on Clarks River Road following a slower-moving vehicle.

When Mannon tried to change lanes, he failed to see a car driven by 55-year-old Robin Stamper of Calvert City to his right and slightly behind him. Deputies said Mannon's truck sideswiped Stamper's car, causing her to go into a spin, cross the left-hand lane of travel and enter the median area before coming to rest in the westbound lane of traffic.

Stamper and her 15-year-old granddaughter Rayann Meredith were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Mannon was not injured.
