A two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon injured four people.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded about 2:15 pm to the intersection of Highland Church Road and Lovelaceville Road. Their investigation at the scene determined that 77-year-old Mary Buchanan of Paducah was southbound on Highland Church Road when she came to the stop sign, but witnesses say she failed to completely stop. Her SUV started to enter Lovelaceville Road and hit the passenger side of a car driven by 23-year-old Donna Stephens.

Stephens and her front-seat passenger, 21-year-old Nikolas Melendez of Paducah, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of what deputies called non-incapacitating injuries. Two others who were in the back seat of Stephens' car, 6-year-old Alaya Pearson of Dyersburg, TN, and her mom, 28-year-old Shannon Pearson, were taken to an area hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.

Another passenger in the car, 21-year-old Randall Barrow of Paducah, was not injured and refused transportation to a hospital.
