One person was slightly hurt and one lane of Lone Oak Road was briefly closed Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle accident.

McCracken County Sheriff's Department came to the intersection of Lone Oak Road and North Concord Avenue about 3:20 pm. They spoke to 18-year-old Bailey J. Hart of Marion, KY, who said she was on North Concord when someone in the right lane of Lone Oak Road slowed down to let her pull out. Hart said she looked into the other southbound lane and saw no oncoming traffic, and then pulled out, into the path of 75-year-old Sue Jetton of Boaz.

Jetton was taken to Baptist Health Paducah by Mercy EMS as a precautionary measure, due to possible minor injuries.

Lone Oak Fire and Rescue, Meadows Towing, and Sullivan’s Towing all helped at the scene. One lane of Lone Oak Road was closed for about 45 minutes until the vehicles were removed.
