A two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in McCracken County sent two people to the hospital.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. at 5280 U.S. 60 West. Deputies said 19-year-old Marena Summers, of Kevil, was eastbound on U.S. 60 when 81-year-old James Vance, of Paducah, was attempting to cross U.S. 60 to make a left turn in front of the Dollar General store.

Vance told deputies that he failed to see Summers approaching.

Vance and Summers were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
