VIDEO: Lightning Strike Damages Paducah Home

A Paducah home was damaged by a lightning strike Thursday afternoon that was caught on video by a sheriff's cruiser camera.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says no one was hurt by the strike, but a home at 501 North 6th Street did suffer some fire damage.

Sgt. David Shepherd's in-car video camera captured the strike just before 4:00 pm as he was driving by the home that was struck. The concussion from the lightning strike reportedly knocked the camera from its windshield mount.
