PADUCAH - A McCracken County trial ended Friday with a jury convicting a man of sexual abuse and other charges related to a 6-year-old girl.

Twenty-six-year-old Tirrell Vasser was convicted of first-degree sodomy with a victim under 12, use of a minor in a sexual performance, possessing/viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, resisting arrest, sexual abuse of a victim under 12, and first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot.

The McCracken Circuit Court Clerk says the jury's recommended sentence is a combined 87 years in prison. Formal sentencing for Vasser is set for December 16.

He was arrested June 13, 2018 after a woman told Paducah Police that she had found a video of a man engaging in sexual activity with her six-year-old daughter. Their investigation led them to Vasser, who tried to flee but was arrested after a scuffle with officers.
