Paducah Police are looking for a suspect in a theft from a truck owned by a local business.

An employee of Beltline Electric, at 2701 Wayne Sullivan Drive, told police the theft happened on Saturday, May 5, but wasn't reported until Thursday. Surveillance video from the business shows a man walk up to several trucks and open the doors. Police say he reportedly opened the hood of one of the trucks and removed the battery, put it in a satchel and walked away. The battery's value is estimated at $150.

The man is described as a white male wearing a black shirt and gray or green shorts.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 270-443-TELL.

An online tip form is also available through the City of Paducah website at http://paducahky.gov/west-ky-crime-stoppers. Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
