Vietnam Veterans of  America will hold a Memorial Day Ceremony at Dolly McNutt Plaza, located across the street from the McCracken County Library on Monday, May 27.

The ceremony  will begin at 7:00 PM. Ronnie Waters , President of Paducah Chapter of  VVA 337 will emcee the ceremony.   The Patriot Guard motorcycle group will have their flag display in place.

This year's speakers will be Dr. Gordon Williams  a psychiatrist who has worked many years with  the Veterans Administration. Following Dr. Williams will be Cpt. (Ret) Robert E. Burgess,  a retired  Army veteran with 22 years of service. Captain Burgess completed two tours in  Vietnam, and was selected 2010 Distinguished Veteran of the Year for McCracken County.

Keynote speaker this year will be B.G. (Ret) George ( Buddy) Petty, from the Mayfield community. 

The ceremony will conclude with a prayer by Chapter Chaplain Michael Swinford, and the playing of taps by Glen Moore.

The public is cordially invited to this observance  honoring the bravery, sacrifice and service of our deceased veterans.  Please bring your lawn chairs and join us.
