Baptist Imaging Center will give a cookbook, “A Heaping Helping of Hope,” and a pink spatula to all women who get a mammogram in October.

Imaging center employees compiled their favorite recipes to create a one-of-a-kind cookbook filled with 200 recipes, including appetizers, side dishes, main dishes and more. Employee names are listed by their contributions.

“To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to give a nice gift to all of our mammography patients – something personal for them,” said Betty Brown, center supervisor. “We serve up hope each and every day to our patients, and this is just one way to show them how much we care.”

Brown said the cookbook allowed all employees, not just mammography staff, to be involved in Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “Everyone in the Imaging Center is supportive of breast cancer awareness,” she said. “The staff wanted to do something personal that gave everyone an opportunity to participate. It’s a special gift that not everyone will have.”

Mammogram appointments are available 7 am to 4:30 pm by phoning 270-575-2662.
