Wilson, Kerr Now Serving Prison Sentences

PADUCAH, KY - Susan Wilson and J. Patrick Kerr, Jr., have both reported to prison and are serving their sentences.
Following their guilty pleas in May to embezzling over $230,000 from the Julian Carroll Convention Center and Paducah Expo Center, Kerr has reported to a prison in Memphis, TN, where he will serve a 2-year sentence, and Wilson is serving 18 months at a prison in Marianna FL. They could receive sentence reductions of 2-3 months for good behavior, according to Kerr's attorney, Mark Bryant, who spoke to the Paducah Sun.
Judge Thomas B. Russell sentenced the pair June 7 in U.S. District Court in Paducah. Kerr got the longer sentence because he devised the scheme, which involved paying Wilson as a vendor for work she didn't do. They then split the money between them.
